Xolo, soon after launching
the Q700s Plus and the Q1000s Plus, has on Saturday launched the Play 8X-1100
for a price tag of Rs. 14,999. Xolo says the Play 8X-1100 is made for
mobile gaming enthusiasts, and is available in authorised retail outlets
across India. Notably, the smartphone is not listed on the company's
site at the time of writing.
The Xolo Play 8X-1100 is a part of the company's new Play series of smartphones, which consists of the recently launched Play 6X-1000, as well as the recently launched Play 8X-1200, which feature hexa-core and octa-core processors respectively.
The Play 8X-1100 is a dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) device which runs Android 4.4 KitKat out-of-the-box. The popular handset maker has recently been pushing out KitKat updates steadily for its smartphones, such as the Xolo Q700S, Xolo Q1010 and Xolo Q1010i .
Xolo's Play 8X-1100 comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The smartphone is powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core (unspecified) processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and a 700MHz Mali 450 GPU.
The smartphone comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB). The Xolo Play 8X-1100 sports a 13-megapixel rear camera powered by Sony Exmor RS sensor and coupled with LED flash, while there is a secondary 5-megapixel front-facing camera with BSI Sensor and 88-degree wide view angle also onboard.
On the connectivity front, the Xolo Play 8X-1100 offers 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, OTG, NFC and Bluetooth options. The smartphone packs a 2100mAh battery and is available in White colour variant.
The domestic smartphone maker launched the Q700s and the Q1000s smartphones in India on Friday. The Xolo Q700s Plus has been listed at Rs. 8,499, while the Xolo Q1000s Plus is listed at Rs. 13,999. While there are no official availability details for the Xolo Q700s Plus and Q1000s Plus, we expect that the company will announce them in the coming days.
