Watch trailer: Saif Ali Khan, Govinda in Happy Ending

If one were to purely go by first impressions, Saif Ali Khan and Govinda's forthcoming film Happy Ending promises to be a fresh, fun and non-traditional take on romance as we know in Bollywood.

The tagline of the film, which releases on November 28, says it all: 'break the rules while playing by the rules,' it says. A romantic comedy, Happy Ending also stars Ranvir Shorey, Kalki Koechlin, Ileana D'Cruz and Preity Zinta.

From the first trailer of the film, released on Thursday, we know that Govinda plays a struggling filmmaker looking for ways to his business from single screen to multiplexes. His solution? Approach an author (Saif Ali Khan) and ask him to write two parts for his films -- "Meet parents and Meet f****rs"!

Happy Ending promises to be a fun-filled ride. Sample some of the dialogues:

Saif: Fame, ladkiyaan, paisa, sab kuch toh hai mere paas. To ab kaam karne ki kya zarurat hai?

Govinda: Public khush honi chahiye yaar, apni akal ke loop me mat phans.

Talking about the film, Saif said in an earlier interview, "Happy Ending is a romantic comedy. She (Kareena Kapoor) has done a scene in the film, which is against (her) type. It's
something you guys must not have expected, you all will be surprised."

Elaborating on his role in the film, he added, "There is a lot of talking in Happy Ending. Even that's too difficult! You need control over that... I think I prefer different kind of roles and I must say I love my role in Happy Ending."

The film is directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, who earlier gave us films like Go Goa Gone, Tusshar Kapoor-starrer Shor In The City and 99 (which featured Soha Ali Khan and Boman Irani).

Arjun Kapoor's College Visit Marred by Security Hassles

Actor Arjun Kapoor was all set to visit a college here on September 12 to promote his latest release Finding Fanny, but the plan had to be cancelled due to security hassles.

"I was ready! And then I was requested not to show up at the college event. The trustees told us not to arrive," Arjun had posted on his Twitter page on September 12.

"Bummed out. was looking forward to going back to my college. (I) was told security is a major issue. Hope to be back there someday though," added the son of Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor.

Finding Fanny, directed by Homi Adajania, is an English language Bollywood entertainer that also stars Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapur and Naseeruddin Shah. The film has had a good start to its box office run.

Nargis Fakhri upset about her break-up?

Model-turned-actress Nargis Fakhri's love story appears to be an unsolved mystery of B-town. Starting from Ranbir Kapoor to Varun Dhawan, the leggy lass has been more in the headlines for her alleged affairs than work.
Nargis has been linked with Uday Chopra since the day she tweeted, "Let's start FEEL GOOD FRIDAYS! Where we remind ourselves what we are grateful for and what we love about ourselves! Boman Irani 'threatened' on phone, gets police cover

After Shah Rukh Khan, police in Mumbai have given security cover to actor Boman Irani.Irani, whose new film Happy New Year is set for release, told police that he has received threatening calls from gangster Ravi Pujari, said sources in Mumbai Police.
The 54-year-old actor apparently said he received the threatening calls a few days ago, said the sources.
Some days ago, superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who too is in Happy New Year, was given extra security amid reports of threat calls. Later, a source close to the actor denied that there were any threat calls from any gangster.

Obama cuts line at fast food joint, paid for lunch of 2

US President Barack Obama apologetically jumped the queue at a famous barbecue joint in Austin, where no one cuts the line, so he could order takeout for his official travel party and paid for the two people he jumped ahead of.

It's common practice to let a president cut to the front of the line at a dining establishment. After all, the president arguably has the busiest schedule on the planet. Owner of this ten-year-old joint, Aaron Franklin said no one is allowed to cut the line at his restaurant, but he made an exception for the president.

Franklin and his daughter took a picture with the president. Apologising to two people at the front of the line for cutting in front of them, Obama offered to buy them lunch -- along with a big order of takeout to take on Air Force One.

The total order came to over USD 300. "I feel real bad, but I’m gonna cut," Obama said. "Because these folks were in front of me, I'm buying for them," he told the workers behind the counter. The President ordered around 8 pounds of meat, 6 pounds of which went for Bruce Finstad of Houston and his daughter Faith Finstad of Austin, the lucky pair at the front of the line, and their two seated companions.

Nargis Fakhri dreams to do a movie with Salman Khan but right now she has to be content with an item song with him in "Kick". But this does not make her jealous of the film's leading lady Jacqueline Fernandez.

"I am not jealous of Jacqueline because even I am getting an opportunity to be part of an item song. Of course, in future I would love to work with Salman in a film...that would be a dream and I hope it comes true," the "Rockstar" fame actress told IANS.

"Kick" marks producer Sajid Nadiadwala's directorial debut. Talking about her dance number with Salman, she said: "It's very underground, edgy and sexy dance number. I was a little worried what if I missed out on steps, but he ended up being the best person ever and I had so much fun. "He has great energy and great sense of humour and I think his energy was making me feel very comfortable and happy. Overall it's an amazing experience."

Iron Man's wife expecting a Daughter

'Iron Man' star Robert Downey Jr is set to become a father again as his wife Susan is pregnant with a baby girl. The 49-year-old actor announced the baby news himself on his social media sites like Twitter and Facebook, revealing the gender of the baby and when it's due. "Yo. Susan. Me. Baby. Girl. November. Scorpio?" he posted.

Robert later posted a longer message on Facebook, "Um. I don't know if it's a 'man's world,' but I'm certain women run it. Susan and I are therefore delighted to announce we are expecting a baby. Girl. November." The couple met on the set of 'Gothika' in 2003 and married in 2005. They welcomed their first son Exton Elias Downey on February 7, 2012. He is also a father to 20-year-old son Indio from his first marriage to actress Deborah Falconer. Indio was arrested for cocaine possession last week.

Actor Riteish Deshmukh replaces Kapil Sharma in 'Bank-Chor'.

Kapil Sharma, who was slated to make his Bollywood debut with Yash Raj Films' "Bank Chor", was out of the project, the production house had revealed via an official statement last Thursday. It was a mutual decision.

‘Bank Chor’ is scheduled to go on the floors immediately and is planned for an early 2015 release. The actor, known for his comedy films, was seen in a dark character of 'Rakesh Mahadkar' in the romantic thriller ‘Ek Villain’ which is doing well at the Box Office.

"Loved the script. Loved the character. Loved the team. I've always liked to push the envelope with the choices I make. This film allows me to potentially rip it apart. Watch out there's a new Bank-Chor in town," Riteish was quoted in a Times of India report.

There were reports that Kapil was caught in a quandary over how to balance his show and film. But it wasn’t clear why Kapil was no longer a part of "Bank Chor", a comic-caper.
The film tells the story of three men trying to rob a bank, how they choose the wrong day for the robbery, and how they're inadvertently caught in the cross fire between cops, industrialists and corrupt politicians.

Helen Wood admits to using sex toy with punter on Big Brother

‘Big Brother’ star Helen Wood has revealed that she used a sex toy to perform an X-rated act with a punter.


When Wood’s Big Brother housemate Steven Goode asked her about her most unique sexual experience Helen added that she will never do it again, the Daily Star reported.

Wood, who once had a threesome with football ace Wayne Rooney also confessed that she had been hired by several celebrity clients.

A show source said that there will be a guessing game as to who this man was, although Wood gave no clues.

J.K. Rowling has released a new 'Harry Potter' story online

J.K. Rowling has written a new story about Harry Potter, featuring the character as an adult for the first time since the conclusion of her book series nearly seven years ago. The story is the latest in a series about the the Quidditch World Cup that Rowling has been writing over at Pottermore for a few months now in anticipation of the actual World Cup. Written from the perspective of gossip journalist Rita Skeeter — a name that's also out of the Harry Potter books — the column runs across details on Harry at age 34, as well as his wife, his closest friends, and a few other of the series' recurring characters.

There's not necessarily a lot for fans to take away — these are mostly surface level observations and sketchy information from a gossip columnist, after all — but there are a few new details on what Harry, Hermione, and Ron have all been up to in the years since Rowling left them. That's certainly more than fans have been expecting, as Rowling has said in the past that she's done with Harry's story. Don't expect her to break the rule again anytime soon though: Rowling's spokesperson tells The Bookseller that she has "no plans" to write additional Potter stories.

There will be more stories in the Harry Potter world, however. Rowling is writing the screenplay for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the first in a new movie series set in her "wizarding world." The movie will take place 70 years before the events of the  Harry Potter books, and it's currently scheduled for release on November 18th, 2016. There's no word on how many films will follow it or how closely Rowling will be involved after that, but it's easy to imagine that with the series' continued popularity that Rowling and Warner Bros. won't be quick to let it go.

And even though Rowling may not be interested in writing much more about Harry, she has been known to add new insights into the universe and even do a bit of post-publication editing. Earlier this year, Rowling said that she had made a mistake by not having Harry and Hermione end up together. Pairing Hermione and Ron, she said, was a matter of sticking to her original outline for the series, rather than letting the relationships go where they should have as the series evolved.

For the most part though, Rowling has been trying to build the rest of her career around new stories. Most notably, she even published a detective novel under a pseudonym in order to avoid publicity for it, allowing the novel to succeed or fail on its own. It's a bold decision, and it's one that we may well still not know about had her authorship not leaked out to the press.

Rowling's new Harry Potter story is available to read at Pottermore, but the site is crawling right now and largely inaccessible (you can probably make an educated guess as to why). You'll also have to create an account at Pottermore and be logged in to read it. Fortunately, the full text of Rowling's story has been reprinted over at Today, which seems to be the best place to start reading. The Bookseller reports that Rowling will publish a final Quidditch World Cup story on Friday.

'Haider" poster Out !

The official posters of Shahid Kapoor starrer ‘Haider’ are out now, and trailers to be out tomorrow. The posters give a look of a cold place in which Shahid Kapoor is struggling from 'some pain'. He plays the protagonist, Haider.

The film also stars Tabu as Haider’s stepmother who develops a romantic relationship with him. Shraddha Kapoor plays a journalist named Arshia and the movie also stars Kay Kay Menon and Irrfan Khan.

The movie is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s 'Hamlet' and is set in Kashmir.

'Daawat-e-Ishq' trailer launched

The trailer of Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Daawat-E-Ishq’ has been unveiled at an Iftaar party hosted by filmmaker Aditya Chopra on Monday. Directed by ‘Ishaqzaade’ fame director Habib Faisal, the forthcoming film is the love story of a salesgirl who belongs to Hyderabad and a boy of Lucknow who is a cook by profession. The movie which revolves around food and romance is expected to hit the silver screens on September 5 of this year.

Parineeti Chopra and Aditya Roy Kapur’s first film together Daawat-e-Ishq is directed by Habib Faisal and produced by Aditya Chopra. Now the makers have released the first trailer but is it entertaining? Well, it is but at the same time a lil confusing. In the trailer, you get to see Ms Chopra who is looking for a groom but fails to find one as she ends up meeting dowry-seeking men. Anupam Kher plays Parineeti’s father in the film and we totally loved his look. As for Pari, she is her usual self – chirpy, loud and very desi. Then there is Aditya too who is playing a Lucknowi chef in the film and going by the trailer wethinks the talented lad has nailed his role perfectly. His look, dialogue delivery and expressions are to watch out for. Surprisingly, the B-town hunk is so good that he overshadows his co-star Parineeti. Adi and Pari do fall in love and sing around trees but there is a twist in the kahaani.

Emma Watson now UN goodwill ambassador

British Actress Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the 'Harry Potter movie series, has been appointed as the Goodwill Ambassador for UN Women. The UN Women is dedicated to issues of gender equality and empowerment of women.

Watson, a humanitarian and recent graduate of the Ivy League Brown University, will dedicate her efforts as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador towards the empowerment of young women and will serve as an advocate for the body's 'He For She' campaign in promoting gender equality, the organisation said.

Watson described her appointment as Goodwill Ambassador as "truly humbling" and said she will take up her new responsibility with all seriousness since not everyone gets a "chance to make a real difference".

"Women's rights are something so inextricably linked with who I am, so deeply personal and rooted in my life that I can't imagine an opportunity more exciting. I still have so much to learn, but as I progress I hope to bring more of my individual knowledge, experience and awareness to this role," the 24-year-old actress said.

           

Under-Secretary-General and Executive Director UN Women Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka said Watson "embodies" the values of UN Women. "The engagement of young people is critical for the advancement of gender equality in the 21st century, and I am convinced that Emma's intellect and passion will enable UN Women's messages to reach the hearts and minds of young people globally," Mlambo-Ngcuka said.

           

Watson has been involved in the promotion of girls' education for several years and previously visited Bangladesh and Zambia as part of her humanitarian efforts.

Actor Zac Efron sparked rumours he is romancing actress Michelle Rodriguez after they were snapped kissing while on holiday in Italy over the weekend.

In the pictures, the "High School Musical" star hints at a new relationship with Rodriguez as he bends down to kiss her while onboard a yacht off the coast of Sardinia, reports contactmusic.com.

The “Fast & Furious” star is also seen leaning into Efron as they relax with friends. The two were invited on the holiday by Italian businessman Gianluca Vacchi, who shared videos on photo-sharing site Instagram of Efron dancing and back flipping off the yacht.

Lil Wayne sued for failed website payments

Rapper Lil Wayne has been hit with a lawsuit accusing him of failing to make payments for his record label's website.

The "Lollipop" hitmaker founded the Young Money Entertainment record label in 2005 and the website youngmoney.com already existed to promote a young entrepreneurial business. The owners of youngmoney.com sold that web address to bosses at Wayne's label in 2011 for $600,000, so the company could promote its artists and music releases, reports contactmusic.com.

According to legal documents obtained by Tmz.com, Young Money bosses had to pay off the amount in instalments or they would forfeit the name and it would return to the seller. Now the website's original owners have launched legal proceedings to recover the domain name, alleging they are owed an outstanding balance of $250,000.

Amir Khan attacks two Teenagers : Arrested

Pakistani origin British boxer Amir Khan has been arrested after allegedly attacking two teenagers in a street assault in Bolton. The 27-year-old former World Champion and Olympic silver medallist was arrested following an incident in Russell Street, Bolton, as his alleged victims were returning from a nearby mosque. Police said the two men were hurt but not seriously injured in the incident. Witnesses said the alleged attack happened after Khan pulled up alongside the group of men in a Mercedes C Class.

One of the alleged victims is believed to have suffered an injury to his cheek and the other to his leg. One man, who wanted to remain anonymous, claimed: "Amir was saying don't you know who I am, I am AK. We have always looked up to him as a role model with him being a Muslim and successful. It is going to cause tension in the community. He is a world champion, an adult, the people involved are aged 19."

The men were allegedly known to Khan,The Telegraph reported. A spokesman from Tangerine PR, which represents the former World Champion, said: "Amir Khan was arrested on suspicion of common assault in the early hours of Friday July 4. Amir has since been released without charge on bail pending further inquiries. At the stage we are unable to comment further on this matter."              

Akshay Kumar's Singing Voice in It's Entertainment is Female

If men dressing in women's outfits wasn't a trend enough already in Bollywood, here's +Akshay Kumar  trying out something new - he lip-syncs to a female voice for the song Johnny Johnny for It's Entertainment.

Akshay Kumar will be seen with a pooch as one of his co-stars in his upcoming movie It’s Entertainment.

The song is the first to be released from the album of the forthcoming film It's Entertainment, which marks the directorial debut of writers Farhad-Sajid.

The track, based on a very popular nursery rhyme, has Akshay lip-synching to a female's voice in a funny style. He will be seen singing some hilarious lines like Maine Pee Nahiii and Haanji Main Peela Di Gayi.

The lines are extremely catchy and the grooving music has taken the song to a different level. 

On the decision to make playback singer Priya sing for Akshay, the director duo said, "Our song is light-hearted, in high spirits and everyone is in a party mood. In a small subtle way, we are showing our support for women empowerment, the lines are matching very well with Akshay's attire and the mood of the song." 

It's Entertainment will hit the screens on August 8.

Sri Lankan actress Jacqueline Fernandez was recently happy to learn that her Kick co-star Salman Khan compared her to yesteryear's glamorous actress Zeenat Aman. But it's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, the wife of the 35th President of the US, John F Kennedy, whom she idolises. 

She took to Twitter and Instagram to share her idol's photograph and even thanked her mom Kim for naming her after Jackie Kennedy.

Taylor Swift's Star-Studded Fourth of July Party Is All Over Instagram

Taylor Swift invited a few famous pals to her Fourth of July celebration, and the ladies haven't been shy about sharing their fun-filled weekend on Instagram. Lena Dunham and Jaime King are among the stars who partied with Taylor on Friday, lighting sparklers under the stars. In one of Jaime's funny videos, Taylor's handheld firework is burning away as Lena points out a slight problem with her sparkler, all the while displaying her best sad face. Before the nighttime festivities, Jaime and Taylor looked right at home in the kitchen, where the stars baked a cake with model Amanda Griffith. Jessica Simpson Marries Eric Johnson in Santa Barbara

Jessica Simpson is a newlywed again!

After a three-year-plus engagement, the 33-year-old star married fiance Eric Johnson at San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Calif. on Saturday, July 5.

The couple -- who has two kids together, daughter Maxwell, 2, and son Ace, 1 -- exchanged vows in front of family and friends at the lavish Southern California locale.

"We are overwhelmed with complete happiness and love having made our eternal commitment," the couple said in a statement to People. "To say 'I do' in front of family, friends and, most importantly, our children has been the happiest moment of our lives."

Jessica wore a custom Carolina Herrera gown for the ceremony, not the previously-reported pinkMarchesa. Simpson wowed in Carolina earlier this year, when she wore a gorgeous black and white gown to the White House Correspondents' Dinner (above).

Sister Ashlee Simpson, her fiance Evan Ross, Jessica Alba and Topher Grace, CaCee Cobb and Donald Faison were all on hand for the ceremony. Ace acted as ring bearer, Maxwell was a flower girl and Ashlee's son Bronx accompanied her down the aisle. Ashlee and CaCee were bridesmaids.

The Beach Boys' song "God Only Knows" was also played during part of the ceremony.

The celebrations actually started a couple days early, with a rehearsal dinner on Thursday evening and a big Southern-inspired BBQ buffet on the 4th of July for all of their wedding guests.

The singer's second wedding is a long time coming. Simpson and the former NFL pro first got engaged back in November 2010, just five months after they started dating. Wedding plans were put on hold, however, for the nearly back-to-back births of their children. 

Best wishes to Jessica, Eric, Maxwell and baby Ace!

This is the second marriage for both. Jessica was previously married to Nick Lachey from 2002--2006, while Eric was legally married to (but separated from) wife of five years Keri Johnson when he met Simpson.
