Express Sport reported on Friday that the Reds had agreed a fee for Lallana with the England star heading to Merseyside for talks and a medical over the weekend.And now the 26-year-old is set to become a Liverpool player after finalising his summer switch.
According to reports, Lallana has passed his medical and agreed a four-year deal at Anfield. It is understood Liverpool will pay £23m up front with the deal rising to £25m with add-ons. Lallana will join former Saints striker Rickie Lambert at the Kop club after his £4m move.
Brendan Rodgers has also splashed close to £10m on Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Emre Can. Lallana is expected to be announced as a Liverpool player later today before he heads off on holiday.
